In the operations run against members of YPS (Civil Protection Units) in Şırnak, two soldiers have been killed, four others and two police officers injured.
According to the statement made by the General Staff, YPS members have detonated improvised explosives during the operations ongoing in the city center of Şırnak.
In the explosion, senior master sergeant Murat Erdi Eker and specialized sergeant Habib Gökçe have lost their lives, four other soldiers and two police officers have been injured.
In the funeral ceremony held in Şırnak Gendarmerie Commander, the autobiographies of the soldiers have been read out.
The body of senior master sergeant Murat Erdi Eker, father of one child has been sent to Mersin and the body of Gökçe, also father of one child has been sent to Çorum. (NV/DG)
