Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) deputies; Minister of European Union Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ali Haydar Konca and Minister of Development Müslüm Doğan in the interim election government resigned.
Konca and Doğan offered their resignations to Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu.
Prime Minister: They can decide whether they stay or go
Prime Ministry made a written statement related to the resignations:
"Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu acknowledged the resignations of Ministers Ali Haydar Konca and Müslüm Doğan.
"Prime Minister Davutoğlu thanked the ministers since they had participated in the interim election government and stated it was their decisions whether they stayed or went. Related ministers will be appointed as soon as possible.”
After they resigned, former Ministers Konca and Doğan explained the reason behind the resignations in HDP General Headquarters in Ankara.
Ministers said they resigned due to execution problems, the creation of the conflict, escalation of the war and no security for the election environment. (EKN/BK/BD)
