Two Children Died in Dersim Explosion Laid to Rest

Bodies of the two children were brought to Ovacık Djemevi. After a funeral was held in the djemevi, the bodies of the children were brought to Çakmaklı village. They were laid to rest in the village cemetery side by side.

The children would stay with their family in a plateau in Bilgeç Village. The children are thought to have touched an explosive device when they went outside.

Dersim Mayor Fatih Mehmet Maçoğlu, Ovacık District Mayor Mustafa Sarıgül, Hozat District Mayor Seyfi Geyik, Dersim Bar Association Chairperson Barış Yıldırım, Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Dersim MP Alican Önlü, Governor Tuncay Sonel, Ovacık District Governor Selçuk Haskırış and citizens attended the funeral.
