Turkish National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (TUGFO) will start its 2023 concerts.
Comprising of 73 young musicians aged between 16 and 22, the orchestra will receive training this year from violinist Hande Küden of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and solo oboist Sezai Kocabıyık of the Istanbul State Symphony and Borusan Philharmonic Orchestra.
The orchestra will give a total of nine concerts in Turkey and Italy.
The tour starts on August 23
Under the artistic direction of conductor Cem Mansur, TUGFO will first meet the audience on August 23 at Istanbul Atatürk Culture Center.
The team's concerts will continue on August 24 at the Presidential Symphony Orchestra Hall in Ankara.
On August 26, the tour of the young musicians will conclude in Turkey with a concert at the Pasabagları Archaeological Site in Cappadocia, Nevşehir with the participation of the State Polyphonic Choir.
Program in Italy
The orchestra's international tour will begin with the Palermo Classica Festival held in Sicily on August 29th.
The team will perform on August 31 at the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, on September 1st in Selinunte, on September 2 again at the Palermo Classica Festival, and on September 3 in Corleone.
The orchestra will conclude the tour on September 6 with a concert at Sala Santa Cecilia, one of the world's leading symphonic halls, in Rome.
