The Turkish Medical Association (TTB) has warned the authorities about the health workers' conditions, saying that they are "running out of energy and patience."
Unions and professional organizations from various parts of the country have been recently reporting an increase in the number of health workers infected with Covid-19.

"As the Turkish Medical Association, our primary and persistent demand in this period, where the Covid-19 pandemic could not be weakened and its tendency to spread has increased, is that the stifling environment of physicians and health workers to be seen and that they are no longer able to breathe and are exhausted to be realized," said the TTB.
Mentioning the applause of the people for health workers in the early period of the pandemic, the statement said, "For physicians, the applause has long been replaced with grief."
"Almost every day, we receive news of the illness of dozens of our colleagues. While some tell success stories on the television, in Twitter messages, we are dying," it further said.
The association further noted that the authorities must take into account the increase in the number of physicians who retired or resigned recently and added that the Ministry of Health was responsible for that. (AÖ/VK)
