Turkey reports 2,245 new coronavirus cases, 15 deaths

The Ministry of Health reported 2,256 new coronavirus cases and 15 deaths yesterday (April 27).

Some 135,253 people were tested for the virus and 11,193 people recovered from the disease in 24 hours, the figures showed.

Over 85 percent of the country's adult population have received at least two doses of the coronavirus vaccine with 27.7 million people receiving at least three jabs, according to the ministry figures.

As the number of new cases has been on the decrease, the government on Tuesday lifted the indoor mask mandate except for public transport vehicles and health institutions. (VK)
