Turkey Reports 1,832 New Covid-19 Cases, 5,119 Recoveries

Turkey's death toll from the novel coronavirus pandemic rose to 3,520 as the country saw 59 more deaths in the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry has announced. The country recorded 1,832 new cases, bringing the tally to 129,491.
The number of intensive care and ventilator patients has dropped, and a total of 73,285 people have recovered so far from Covid-19, including 5,119 registered today (May 5), according to the ministry figures.
Also, over 33,283 additional tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests so far to 1,204,421.
Covid-19 cases have been reported in 187 countries and regions since it emerged in China last December, with the US and Europe now the hardest-hit areas.
The pandemic has killed over 252,300 people, with total infections over 3.61 million, while more than 1.17 million people have recovered from the disease, according to figures compiled by the US-based Johns Hopkins University.
