The Health Ministry has introduced coronavirus vaccine ID cards for its citizens who have received two vaccine doses.
The ID cards can be created on the Ministry of Health's Life Fits into Home (Hayat Eve Sığar-HES) and include the person's name, surname, birth date, ID number and optionally, their passport number.
The ministry's move comes as the European Union (EU) discusses requiring vaccine passports from those who want an "easy travel" to European countries, without having to be quarantined or tested for the virus.
According to the ministry figures, 10.6 out of 83 million people have so far received two vaccine doses in Turkey. (TP/VK)
