Detained in Diyarbakır as part of the operation launched into social media posts about Afrin operation on January 22, T24 writer Nurcan Baysal was released on probation yesterday (January 24).
Taken to the courthouse following the proceedings at the security directorate, Baysal was sent to Criminal Judgeship of Peace for arrest by prosecutor’s office on charge of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization”.
Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) MP Meral Danış Beştaş was among the ones who welcomed Baysal who was released on probation by the court.
Speaking to bianet, Danış-Beştaş said that Baysal’s medical condition is fine and her spirits are up. (TP/TK)
