Second fire in a week in İstanbul's Aydos forest

A fire broke out yesterday (August 12) in Aydos Forest on İstanbul's Asian side.

İstanbul Governor's Office said in a statement that fires broke out in four locations simultaneously at around 4.30 p.m.

Helicopters were also used in the efforts to extinguish the fire.

The Governor said in a tweet at around 6.30. P.m. that the fire was taken under control.

A fire also broke out in Aydos Forest on August 5. (EKN/VK)
