Sculptor Uygur Orhan is working on busts of those that were murdered during the Gezi Resistance. He is going to present the busts to the families.
He began sculpting with 14 year old Berkin Elvan’s bust.
“I thought what I could do for those who lost their lives during Gezi protests, and I decided to sculpt busts,” he said.
“I will deliver these to their mothers’ as gifts. I began with Berkin’s bust first because his mother’s house looked like a mourning museum. I will be done with Berkin’s bust by the end of this week and send it to his mother.”
Sculptor Uygur Orhan began sculpting Ali İsmail Korkmaz’s bust now, whose trial will be held on May 12 in Kayseri province. (ÇT/ENÜ/BM)
