According to the data of five different research companies, the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) would get around 30 percent of the votes if Turkey had general elections today. In the last general election in 2018, the AKP received 42.56 percent of the votes.
The managers of the Optimar, GENAR, Turkey Report, AREA and Gezici research companies discussed the results of their recent surveys during a program on Habertürk TV on Friday (February 18).
According to the survey results shared by Optimar's Hilmi Daşdemir, Gezici's Murat Gezici, GENAR's İhsan Aktaş, Turkey Report's Can Elçuki and AREA's Murat Karan, the rates of votes to be received by the ruling AKP would range from 31.3 percent to 37.6 percent.
At the last general elections on June 24, 2018, the AKP received 42.56 percent of the votes, which shows that there has been a drop in the rate of votes to be received by the ruling party in case of an election.
OPTİMAR
The votes to be received by the People's Alliance (AKP-MHP), the Nation's Alliance (CHP-İYİ Party) and other political parties are as follows according to the results of a recent Optimar survey:
AKP - 36 percent
Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) - 26.7 percent
İYİ Party - 10.9 percent
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) - 10.2 percent
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) - 9.7 percent
DEVA - 1.3 percent
TDP - 1.1 percent
MP - 0.8 percent
YRP - 0.7 percent
SP - 0.7 percent
BBP - 0.6 percent
Future Party - 0.5 percent
Gezici
According to the Gezici's survey results:
AKP - 31.3 percent
CHP - 27.2 percent
İYİ Party - 12.1 percent
HDP - 11.5 percent
MHP - 8.1 percent
DEVA - 2.1 percent
Future 1.4 percent
MP - 1.3 percent
SP - 1.2 percent
ZP - 1.1 percent
YRP - 1 percent
GENAR
Talking about the survey results of his company, GENAR Research Chair İhsan Aktaş said, "The AKP is still capable of coming to power. It receives 37.6 percent and the CHP 26 percent. The İYİ Party gets 12 percent. The HDP is ahead; the MHP is close to it. Moreover, we see that the opposition promises nothing other than a transition to the parliamentary system".

CHP - 28.2 percent
İYİ Party - 13.8 percent
HDP - 12.2 percent
