Kardeş Masallar (Fraternity Fairy Tales) project will bring children from Turkey and Syria together at Urfa Hayata Destek Evi (Urfa Support to Life House).
As part of the project organized to call out to children who are exposed to war and violence, children and their mothers will be heard as well.
Syrian refugee women will tell children the fairy tales of which they grew up hearing in the event to be organized at the end of the workshop which has been continuing since October 10 in organization of Hayata Destek Derneği (Support to Life Association).
Workshops
Children from Turkey and Syria worked by closing the emotional gap between them by means of fairy tales in the workshops prior to the event that will begin on October 21 at 1 p.m.
Children and mothers listened to stories together, played games and dreamed together in the fairy tale workshops.
Project’s creator Deniz Soruklu Evren defines the stories as “the only possible spell”. “When we start seeing our pain as a story, we get rid of it in a way”.
The project was first realized in Diyarbakır Fidanlık Ezidi Camp. (YY/TK)
