Muhammad Hattabi (11), a Syrian refugee child, has been found dead two days after he went missing in the capital city of Ankara, according to reports in the media.
Police found Hattabi after being notified by locals about a child's body in an abandoned shanty in Altındağ district.
Examining the body police found that the child's head was crushed with a rock. He didn't have a wallet or an ID.
Hattabi was identified by his family, who had reported him missing two days ago.
A autopsy will be performed on the child at the Forensic Medicine Instution. An investigation has been opened into the incident. (RT/VK)
