An investigation has been launched into 433 film workers, who issued a support declaration for Academics for Peace on charge of “promoting crime and criminal”.
In their declaration, the film workers had said:
“We as film-makers from Turkey, support the call on government by Academics for Peace Initiative for peace and negotiation on January 11, 2016.
“We refuse hindering of freedom of expression and thought.
“We stand by equality and peace.
“We advocate right to live.
“We side with free thought and art.
“No ifs, no buts: ‘We will not be a party to this crime!’
“We stand with Academics for Peace Initiative”. (BK/TK)
