Confederation of Labor Unions of Turkey (Türk-İş) has published the "Hunger And Poverty Research" report for September.
According to the report; In September 2019, the monthly food expenditure that a family of four needs to make in order to have balanced and adequate nutrition is announced as 2,064.52 lira (~365 US dollars). The poverty limit, which includes expenditures for food, clothing, housing, rent, electricity, water, fuel, transportation, education, health and other necessities, was 6,724.81 lira.
The cost of living for an unmarried, childless working person was calculated as 2,536 lira per month. Compared to the same month of last year, kitchen expenditures of a family of four increased by 171 lira. It amounts to 558 lira of extra spending.
TÜRK-İŞ Açlık ve Yoksulluk Sınırı Araştırması'nın ağustos 2019 verileri şöyle;
The four-person hunger limit in August was 2,058.72 lira, while the "poverty limit" was 6,705.94 lira.
The cost of living for an unmarried and childless person was 2,540.97 lira. (RT/VK)
