Police detain journalists taking pictures in earthquake-hit Urfa
The two correspondents were taken into custody on grounds that they did not have press cards given by the Communication Presidency.

Two journalists were detained while taking pictures in a collapsed building where 21 were pulled dead under the debris, in Birecik, Urfa.
The Mesopotamia Agency (MA) correspondent Mahmut Altıntaş ve JINNEWS correspondent Sema Çağlak were detained by the police on the grounds that they did not have press cards given by the Communication Presidency, the MA reported.
Earthquake and aftershocks centered in Maraş hit a large region in the southern part of Türkiye on Monday (February 6) and killed more than 8 thousand people in ten different cities so far.
The rescue efforts continue today on the third day.
The MA reported that two correspondents were taken to the police station to give their statements. (TY/PE)
