Multiple addresses were raided by police today, citing an investigation launched against individuals who attended the Newroz celebration in Ankara.
A total of 19 people have been detained so far in house raids conducted in five cities in the investigation centered in Ankara.
Those detained are accused of engaging in "terrorist propaganda" and have been taken to Ankara Police Headquarters.
Among those detained are several members of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), including Bedriye Irmak and Nebahat Çalpan, who are members of the HDP Central Executive Board. (TY/VK)
