Following Berkin Elvan's funeral ceremony, police promptly attacked those who gathered around Osmanbey district in Istanbul.
The police intervention came with 4 TOMA vehicles simulaneously srapying water towards demonstrators who refuged in back streets and small businesses.
Around 6:20 pm local time, small groups of demonstrators resisted the police intervention which came in the form of tear gas. Occasional clashes have been reported.
While some protestors followed Taksim Solidarity's appeal to march to Taksim Square and leave cloves for commemoration, police denied this initiative by sieging Taksim Square and its surroundings. (NV/BM)
