Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Char Mithat Sancar spoke at the Parliamentary group meeting of his party today (June 1).
In his speech, Mithat Sancar criticized the remarks of Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu: "A few days ago, he said that there are no unidentified murders and there is no torture during his term in office. In fact, he was right. But what he said was inadequate and erroneous.
"Here is the right one: The murders committed during his term in office are not unidentified; the perpetrators are obvious, but they are not brought to account before the judge. Therefore, the perpetrators of murders are not unknown, their aftermath is unknown."
Kurdish question
Further in his speech, Sancar said that "the deadlock in the Kurdish question" lies at the heart of government-mafia relations, adding that "the mindset of destruction and denial corrupts all parts of the country."
"The law is destroyed, dirty business is carried on and a horrible dirty economy comes up as a result of all these," Sancar noted.
"Yes, the solution lies in democracy. Democracy lies in politics. The solution is democracy and peace," added the HDP Co-Chair.
Stating that "they have pressed ahead a 'plan of crackdown' against Kurdish people and politics", he said, "They have reshaped all institutions of the state, the judicial system, politics and media in accordance with war policies. Not only do they ruin households with war policies, but they also plunder people's table and pocket with poverty, hunger and unemployment."
Allegations of Peker
Sancar also mentioned the recent statements of crime group leader Sedat Peker, who made some allegations about the International Defense Consulting Construction Industry and Trade Inc. (SADAT):
"We will keep following up these allegations; we will reveal the truth in one way or another. Who was fed with this drug money? Al Nusra, ISIS gangs... Sedat Peker explains it as well. He pointed at SADAT.
"As I see it, the statement made by SADAT is not wise on their part. Because it also makes a confession at the same time. It says, 'These weapons went to these terrorist groups.' SADAT says it. SADAT, this dark entity raised and fed by Erdoğan's Palace regime, says it."
Concluding his remarks, Sancar stated, "Now, they think that this country is without an owner. No. The morning has an owner, futures have an owner. The right, freedom, democracy, peace and hope have an owner. It is us, it is the peoples." (DŞ/SD)
