Prof. Alankuş: Peace journalism should have editorial policy
Prof. Alankuş talked to bianet over the project before the meeting:
“Turkey mostly needs peace journalism in the process of peace. If the government has a peace policy, the media has a peace policy. Otherwise, there will be double standard. We aim peace journalism to be editorial policy by many media organs.
Turkey’s media bosses support peace journalism with a conjuncture approach. They profit from it. This is not a “first time” compromise. We need peace. Everybody agrees with that but don’t know how. Editorial policy can only be achieved by media bosses and chief editors. Doğan Media Group has peace journalism as one of its media principles. You can’t even imagine that 10 years before.
