Number of Unemployed Rises by 354,000 in July 2016

The unemployment rate in July 2016 has reached 10.7% with a rise of 0.9% compared to last year.
According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, the year on year number of unemployed has risen by 354,000 among those older than 15 and reached 3,324,000 in Turkey.
The unemployment rate exclusive of agriculture was predicted to reach 13% with a rise of 1%.
Among the young population between 15-24 years, the unemployment rate has risen by 1,5% to 19,8%.
Between 15-64 years, the rate amounts to 11% with a rise of 1%. (YY/DG)
