Ministry of Interior Affairs Declares Perpetrator of Ankara Blast

The Ministry of Interior Affairs has declared that the perpetrator of the attack carried out through a vehicle loaded with explosives blasting on Ankara Atatürk Boulevard on March 13 killing 37 persons was Seher Çağla Demir who was born in 1992 and registered in Kağızman district of Turkey’s Eastern province of Kars.

Making a written statement, the Ministry has stated;

“As a result of the efforts to enlighten the treacherous terror attack launched by a moving bomb-laden vehicle on Ankara Atatürk Boulevard against our citizens waiting at the bus stop on March 13, 2016, it has been established that the attack was launched by Seher Çağla Demir born in 1992 in Kars/Kağızman who was involved in PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) since 2013, later crossed into Syria and underwent training within YPG (People’s Protection Units).

“The investigation as to the incident proceeds in all aspects. I wish God’s mercy and grace on acquaintances of those who lost their lives in the abominable attack launched by separatist terror organization, and wish our wounded a quick recovery. Anti-terror activities will continue pertinaciously”. (EKN/TK/DG)
