The government has completed its preparations to define persistent harassment and stalking as separate crimes, Minister of Justice Abdülhamit Gül has announced.
Presenting the 2022 budget plan of the ministry on Friday (December 10), Gül listed several new legal arrangements to be made to protect women and children from male violence.
"No woman aggrieved by violence, no child who has been traumatized, no disabled citizen will be alone in the courthouse in the quest of their rights," said the minister.
The government will take steps to justice without delay, the minister said, adding that they had been working on to prevent prolonged divorce cases.
