According to media reports, in July, men have killed at least 23 women. Six women died suspiciously. One woman was found home, shot in her chest with a shotgun. Her relatives claim that she committed suicide. Seven people including two children were injured because they happened to be in the scene of crime.
At least 20 women were injured in July. Nine children and nine women were raped. 27 people - 20 of whom were children - were victims of sexual abuse and exploitation.
Last month, at least 79 men and boys were detained, arrested, tried, or started living as a fugitive.
According to the tally bianet prepared based on news reports, men killed 10 women in June, 16 women in May, 25 women in April, 20 women in March, 14 women in February, 16 women in January; in 2009, 198 women were killed.
N.A. (29), who allegedly abused the women in a workplace where he introduced himself as an auditor, has been arrested. It has been revealed that N.A., who is married with two children, tried to swindle 2 thousand euros at another workplace he went as an assistant mufti.

Three people, who broke into a house in Bursa, killed homeowner Leyla Oguz (57) and robbed the house. It was revealed that suspect N.S. (31) was the tenant of the Oguz family 10 years ago.

M.G. (32), who was invited over by F.R. (26) whom he had been harassing over the telephone in Konya, was attacked by F.R.'s husband D.M. and brother-in-law D.R. M.G. was hospitalised and then detained.

Three women police officers at the Antalya Police Department filed a complaint against 4th class chief constable and police department chief S.T. saying that he harassed them. S.T. was appointed to somewhere else while an investigation was opened.

M.K. (27), who harassed N.A. (42) on a public bus in Samsun, was detained. After the questioning at the police department, M.K. was referred to a local court to testify. He was then released on condition of judicial control.

In Samsun, Y.A. (34) and his brother M.A. (41) were arrested last month for stabbing and injuring their relative I.O. whom they accused of raping their sister. They are currently on trial. The raped woman stated that I.O. took her naked photographs and blackmailed her after the rape.

A woman's body was found in Bolu in a field near the Golkoy Reservoir. Police determined that the body belonged to H.M.

In Antalya, a woman, H.B. (32), was stabbed and injured by an unidentified assailant, who broke into her house at night.

F.T., who went to gather wood in Manisa was found drowned in the stream.

In Samsun, M.H. (23) was detained for raping a girl, S.A. (15). M.H. said: "In fact, I was planning to marry S.A. I took her home to speak with her but I changed my mind after she told me what happened to her. S.A. claimed that she was raped by a friend of her father last year, and then by M.H. The girl, who stated that she could not possible continue to live with her family under these conditions, was placed in a hostel.

In Karaman, K.F. (28) shot and killed his wife with a pump rifle. The couple had previously filed for a divorce. K.F., who ran away after the incident was arrested in the Mut district of Mersin.

In Tekirdag, M.B., beat up his daughter B.B. (17) hanging out with her friends after work instead of going out. B.B. who asked the police officers on patrol to help her was taken to hospital. M.B. was detained and then released after testifying.

In Eskisehir, S.C. (28) was detained for strangling her six-year old daughter and then killing her by hitting her head with an adze. S.C. applied to the police department and reported on her daughter's death. She stated that she has been receiving psychological treatment and that she had asked her husband two months ago to take her to a doctor.

In Ankara, retired colonel T.E. (65) shot and killed his wife G.E. (57) and his daughter O.E. (40), while seriously injuring his daughter C.E. (27). T.E. called the police and reported on the incident. He stated that he has a credit debt of 50 thousand TL (25 thousand euros), he was thinking of committing suicide and killed his family so that they would not be indebted. T.E. attempted to commit suicide but allegedly his gun was jammed. C.E. who was taken to hospital died after two days.
