Journalist Çağlar Tekin, the foreign editor of TELE1 TV, was briefly detained yesterday (November 10), he said on Twitter.
After he went to the courthouse for another case, he learned that there was a detention warrant against him and was detained, he said.
Posting another tweet after being released, the journalist said, "The reason for my detention was sharing a report about ISIS members using TSK [Turkish Armed Forces] vehicles that AA [the state run news agency] published and later deleted."
The TSK conducted a military operation against ISIS in northern Syria in 2016. Anadolu Agency (AA) had published photos showing ISIS members using captured TSK vehicles but later deleted them. (HA/VK)
