Amid ongoing debates on Turkey's possible withdrawal from the İstanbul Convention and women's struggle for their rights and freedoms, a group of men have expressed support for women by in a joint statement.
Among the 344 signatories of the statement are also journalist Celal Başlangıç, lawyer Bülent Utku, Assoc. Prof. Çağhan Kızıl, writer Emin Çapa and musician Mazlum Çimen. The signatories have also read out the statement in a short video titled "Is manhood dead?".
The statement of the men is read out by musician, composer, lyricist and human rights defender Şanar Yurdatapan.
