İstanbul's three bridges on the Bosphorus Strait and two historic towers, the Maiden's Tower and the Galata Tower, were lit up orange last night to mark the Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Women staged demonstrations yesterday in Kadıköy on the city's Asian side and in Beşiktaş on the European side, commemorating the women killed because of male violence.
