Highest Inflation Rate Since October 2008
The inflation has increased by 1.31% in April 2017. Climbing to 11.87%, the annual inflation rate has marked its highest since October 2008. The highest hike on yearly basis is seen in alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.

The Turkish Statistical Institute has announced the April 2017 inflation rates.
The inflation saw a monthly hike of 1.31%.
The annual inflation rate increased to 11.87%.
This figure was recorded as the highest inflation rate since October 2008.
Highest hike was in clothing and shoe
The highest increase was seen in clothing and shoe groups with 9.13%.
The only group that marked monthly decrease was communication with 0.02%.
The highest hike on yearly basis was seen in the alcoholic beverages and tobacco products group with 21.65%. (YY/TK)
