Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır MP Nursel Aydoğan and Şırnak MP Leyla Birlik were arrested today (November 4).
Aydoğan and Birlik were detained in a house raid during the operation launched against 12 MPs including HDP Co-Chairs.
They were arrested by the court to which were referred for arrest.
İdris Baluken who was among the detainees was arrested as well.
What had happened?
HDP Co-Chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ, Şırnak MPs Ferhat Encü, Leyla Birlik, Hakkari MPs Selma Irmak, Abdullah Zeydan, Diyarbakır MPs İdris Baluken, Nursel Aydoğan, Zira Pir, Ankara MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Mardin MP Gülser Yıldırım were detained in a house raid launched towards morning.
Demirtaş, Yüksekdağ, Birlik, and Aydoğan were referred to court for arrest. Ziya Pir was released on judicial control decision. (BK/TK)
