Halki Seminary [also known as Theological School/Ruhban Okulu in Turkey] is preparing to host a concert which will include various choirs from all faiths under the title “Beliefs and Hymns: Vibrant Sounds in Houses of God”.
The concert will be held in the Hagia Triada Greek Orthodox Monastery. with the participation of various choirs including Greek, Jewish, Assyrian, Armenian and Alevi.
The following choirs will be in the program:
Beyoğlu Musiki Sevenler Derneği Korosu (Greek), Yako Taragano Sinagog İlahileri Korosu (Jewish), Beyoğlu Süryani Kadim Meryem Ana Kilisesi Vakfı, İstanbul Süryani Katolik Vakfı Koroları (Assyrian), Erdem Şimşek ve Aydın Çakmakkaya (Alevi), Nişan Çalgıcıyan Üç Horan Ermeni Kilisesi Korosu, Mehmet Kemiksiz (Turkish Classical Music Foundation).
The concerts are supported by Adalar Müzesi, Adalar Foundation, RUMVADER, Ottoman – Turkish Sefarad Culture Research Institute, , Beyoğlu Assyrian Ancient Virgin Mary Church Foundation, İstanbul Assyrian Catholics Foundation, Cem Foundation and TMV.
