"Gündem: Çocuk!" a programme on children's rights, broadcasts live on medyascope.tv every friday at 11 a.m.

Explaining how they decided to develop the programme and broadcast it live, Mehmet Onur Yılmaz, one of its producers pointed out the necessity of a platform which could bring children's rights issued to the agenda.

"There were works which were left half-finished as Gündem Çocuk Foundation was closed, but needed to be kept on the agenda.

" [...] Children's rights violations did not stop so we needed a platform where we could bring these to the agenda again, discuss it with the public and make the practices of those who are working on this area visible. And Medyascope made such a platform available for us.

"This week, we will discuss vital risks arising from the physical construction of schools that cause the death of at least 20 children each year and how to eliminate these risks".

Physical security in schools

Days before the new school-year starts, this week's programme draws attention to the important issue of physical security in schools.
The right to education will be discussed from different perspectives in the coming sessions.

The programme streams live on medyascope.tv between 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. every friday.

Gündem Çocuk closed through statutory decree
