The Green Party which is a coalition partner in Germany announced a position for the dual May 14 elections in Turkey.
The Co-Chairpersons of the Greens, Ricarda Lang and Omid Nouripour have spoken to Spiegel where they said, "We are asking everyone living in Germany who have the right to vote in Turkey to participate in the May 14 elections and support and work for process of a democratic change."
"There is a real chance"
The Greens invited the voters to go to the polls and said, "We are with all in Turkey who struggle for democracy, rule of law, equality and human rights. Now, after years of authoritarian rule under the Erdoğan governments, there is a real chance to return to democracy and rule of law."
"Make a change in the politics of Turkey"
Co-Chairperson Ricarda Lang shared a tweet tagging the People's Democratic Party (HDP) and the Green Left Party (YSP) and wrote, "Vote for the Green and Left Party under the umbrealla of our sister party, vote for the joint presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, and make a change in the politics of Turkey."

The Greens had formed a coalition government in Germany following the elections in October 2021 with the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and the Free Liberal Democratic Party (FDP). (NT/PE)
