The Governorship of İstanbul has announced that 34 thousand 397 refugees have been referred to repatriation centers in other provinces.
Releasing a written statement on its official website, the Governorship has announced that "the struggle against irregular migration, guidance services to prevent informal employment and inspections of store signboards and unregistered Syrians or the ones registered in other provinces continue".

According to the statement, between the dates of July 12 and October 16, "34 thousand 397 people who came to İstanbul through irregular migration were referred to the provinces where Repatriation Centers are located."
"5 thousand 945 Syrians not registered in İstanbul were referred to Temporary Refugee Centers in provinces designated by our Ministry", the Governorship has informed further.
As part of its efforts to prevent illegal employment, teams of Social Security Institution (SGK) Provincial Directorate and representatives from related institutions visited 53 thousand 77 workplaces and provided them with guidance services to their employers and personnel within this period.
"Between the dates of July 12 and October 16, 3 thousand 320 of 4 thousand 371 store signboards which were previously not compliant with the regulation were brought in compliance with the regulation", the Governorship has concluded its statement. (RT/SD)
