The Ministry of National Defense has announced that three soldiers have lost their lives in Iraq. According to the written statement released by the Ministry, the operations in the region are still ongoing.
The Ministry has extended its condolences to the families of deceased soldiers Infantry Specialist Sergeant Doğanay Çelik (23), Infantry Specialist Sergeant Ali Sarı (29) and Infantry Specialist Sergeant İdris Aksöz (23).
The Ministry of Defense has also announced that 28-year-old Specialist Sergeant Emre Ceylan, who got injured by falling from a high place in Syria's Idlib, has lost his life at the hospital where he was taken.
According to the statement of the Ministry, while the soldiers were about to return from the road security checkpoint to the military base, Emre Ceylan lost his balance because the road was wet and slippery, he fell from a height of 20-25 meters as a result and was severely injured.
Following the emergency medical intervention there, Ceylan was taken to the Hatay Training and Research Hospital in southern Turkey. The soldier has lost his life at the hospital. (HA/SD)
