Fire fighting continues in İskenderun Port on day two

The fire that started in the toppled containers following the Maraş earthquakes in the İskenderun Port (Limak Port) could not yet be put out on day two.

Firefighting teams and sprinklers from different cities and helicopters of the Hatay Directorate of Forestry are trying to extinguish the fire today, both from land and air.

The fire that started following the earthquakes on Monday continued through the night on Monday and Tuesday (February 7).

Yesterday helicopters of the ground forces and aircraft of the airforce were also used, and a "fire extinguishing ball" was thrown on the fire in the port which was not sufficient to extinguish the fire. (TY/PE)
