Süleyman Seba, honorary chairman of Beşiktaş Soccer Club was buried in Feriköy Cemetery.
According to Haber1903, ceremonies for Seba were held in his apartment and in the club building in Akaretler, Istanbul.
After ceremonies, his funeral was taken to Vodafone Arena which is under construction. According to Sporx, during the speech of Fikret Orman, chairman of Beşiktaş Club, fans shouted slogans for him to name the new stadium as Süleyman Seba.
Funeral pray was performed in Dolmabahçe Mosque. Abdullah Gül, President, Bülent Arınç, PM Deputy, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, Chairman of Republican’s People Party, old and new players of Beşiktaş, chairmen of football clubs and fans attended the funeral. Old team coach Gordon Milne, who worked for the club for 6.5 years during the chairmanship of Süleyman Seba, was also in the funeral ceremony. (EKN/MUY/BM)
