Explosion in Diyarbakır was a Terror Attack, not an Accident, Minister Says

It has been declared that the explosion that occurred yesterday (April 12) in the area where supplementary units of Provincial Security Directorate in Diyarbakır’s Bağlar district are located, was resulted from an explosive, not from an accident during a panzer repair.

A total of three people including one police officer and one civil servant lost their lives. It was stated that the civil personnel who lost his life is Yunus Elaltunterin. Elaltunterin’s body was interred at Ali Pınar Cemetery.

In his statement issued today, Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu said, “It is uncovered that this was a terror attack. They dig a tunnel and planted an explosive”.

Diyarbakır Governorship and the minister declared yesterday that the explosion occurred due to a panzer repair. (ÇT/TK)
