Erdoğan: We’ll Freeze Assets of US Secretaries of Justice, Interior in Turkey

President and Justice and Development Party (AKP) Chair Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has addressed to those who waited at the entrance of the hall where AKP’s 5th Women’s Ordinary Session Congress to be held.

Addressing to the party members inside the hall after his speech outside, Erdoğan referring to Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) voters said, “Those who supported [the HDP] so that it can enter the parliament will account for it”.

Some of the highlights from Erdoğan’s speech are as follows:

"They will account for it"

“May the relatives of martyrs be at ease. We’ve annihilated 56 terrorists in one week. This state knows very well to whom it will show compassion and against whom it will strike its iron blow inside velvet glove.

“Those who supported [the HDP] so that it can enter the parliament will account for it. Wherever they run, we will call them to account for”.

“I’m giving order for the US”

“US’s latest step about Pastor [Andrew Craig] Brunson incident is a step that doesn’t suit a strategic partner. With this step, the US in fact has disrespected Turkey.

“I’m giving the order today. We will freeze assets of the secretaries of justice and interior, if there is any”. (TP/TK)
