President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has responded to journalists’ questions following Friday prayer.
Noting that he is pleased with changes from foreign currencies to Turkish Lira (TL), President Erdoğan has said it is not enough and more foreign currency must be changed.
International trade with TL
“We had talked with Russia earlier and said ‘Let us do the export with domestic currency’.
“Trade volume had reached up to $35 billion. Merchandising on ruble and TL will bring some relieve.
“A similar situation with Iran and China is on the table.
“It is possible to spread this, that is how we lift the rate pressure on our currencies”.
New constitution
“In fact, constitutional amendment doesn’t comprise three stages. At the moment, Mr. chairs have come to an agreement with each other. It is now a process of commission and general assembly.
“Final stage of this is to take it to the nation”. (EKN/TK)
