President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder Elon Musk in a phone conversation discussed cooperation in various fields, according to Turkey's Communications Directorate yesterday (January 27).
Space technologies was the main topic of discussion on the fields of cooperation between Turkey's public and private sectors and Musk's company, the directorate said.
"We will continue to follow the developments in technology, both in our country and in the world, and continue to support any move that will benefit our people," the president wrote on Twitter after his conversation with Musk.
"Reforms"
Turkey's parliament can expect to get new reform proposals shortly, the nation's president told his Justice and Development Party's (AKP) parliamentary group earlier.
"Soon we will begin to submit new reform packages, which we are about to complete, for parliament's consideration," he said.
Erdoğan has promised reforms since the election of Joe Biden as the US president.
The public will see "that these reform packages contain very fundamental and important regulations that will carry our country to 2023 and beyond," he added, referring to the Republic of Turkey's centennial year.
The sweeping reforms "will prepare Turkey for the future in a wide area from basic rights and freedoms to strengthening the climate of economic confidence," said Erdoğan. (DŞ/VK)
