46 days are left for the presidential and parliamentary elections on May 14 to be held in Turkey.
Today the provisional list of presidential candidates was published in the Official Gazette. The period for objections to presidential candidates started at 08:00 am.
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's applications for candidacy have been approved on March 24. Erdoğan and Kılıçdaroğlu are the two candidates nominated by political parties that have a group in the parliament.
The Republican People's Party (CHP) and the Good Party (İYİ) groups nominated Kılıçdaroğlu while the Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) group nominated Erdoğan as their presidential candidates.
The presidential candidates nominated with the signatures of a hundred thousand voters have been Muharrem İnce and Sinan Oğan.
The provisional list of presidential candidates, therefore, includes these four people, their names, their dates of birth, and the universities they graduated from.
Objections to the list announced by the Supreme Election Board (YSK) can be made until 05:00 pm, on March 29, 2023, Wednesday.
