The latest statement was issued by Vice Prime Minister Nurettin Canikli. Announcing the figure of suspended teachers as 9,465, Canikli said 455 of them, mostly from Tunceli province, have been returned to their duties in his statement following the Council of Ministers meeting on September 19.
“27,715 teachers have been discharged from profession so far. By today, 9,465 teachers were suspended. 455 teachers have been returned to their duties”.
