Turkey’s Ministry of Defense released a statement regarding the seeking of draft resisters. Reminding that police authorities and gendarmerie forces already launched seek and arrest fashion investigations on draft resister throughout the country, the ministry specified that fines would differ according to the time period and surrender/capture basis.
According to this, those who surrender to authorities will have reduced payments. The fines will vary from 296 liras (for those surrender) to 46,355 liras (for those who are captured after 20 years of draft resisting).
