Director Akin to Make the World Hear Istanbul

Director Fatih Akin, who won the Golden Bear cinema award with "Against the Wall" at the Berlin Film Festival, decided to direct a documentary for his next film.

"I'm Listening Istanbul" has been prolonged for three months, but this didn't stop Akin from doing research at the Rock'n Coke Festival at Hazerfen Airport last Saturday (August 21).

Akin is greatly interested in classical Turkish music, an obvious influence on "Against the Wall". Therefore, those who saw Akin at a rock festival were not surprised. The young director was collecting material for his new documentary. (YE)
