Selahattin Demirtaş, the imprisoned Ex-Co-Chairperson of the People's Democratic Party in Edirne F-type prison, posted on his Twitter account his evaluations about the unilateral ceasefire decision of PKK/KCK.
"We will definitely bring peace"
Demirtaş emphasized that they had worked for a solution [to the Kurdish problem] but that President Erdoğan had prevented it and said, "Let us promise our people, after the Erdoğan regime which feeds itself with conflict, we will do all we can for PKK to lay down arms completely in Turkey and for sure we will succeed. We will solve our problems in the parliament, duly and in the framework of the law, and definitely bring great peace to our people."
Halkımıza sözümüz olsun, çatışmadan beslenen Erdoğan rejimi sonrasında PKK'nin Türkiye'de tümüyle silah bırakması için elimizden geleni yapacağız ve mutlaka başaracağız.

In his following tweets, he said, "We could have done all this a long time ago, but Erdoğan imprisoned those who wanted peace, but them in isolation, tried to close their political parties, appointed trustees to their municipalities, stirred up the conflict and tried to pull votes by making people fear over the rhetoric of "terror." This is still what he is doing."
"You should not believe these liars. Reconciliation and peace are possible. PKK announced a unilateral ceasefire and opened the door for a solution. However, there are continuous provocations. God forbid, some may try to shed blood in order to influence the elections. We will all be careful, we will not be deceived."
"We will win all together and for sure"
"Please do not forget; we want peace and we want democracy. We want to live together, as equals and sisterly, brotherly. This will be what the Green and Left Party will work for the most. Do not trust liars who provoke people to take their votes, to deluders, but us. We will win all together and for sure!" (NT/PE)
