Prime Minister and Chair of Justice and Development Party (AKP) Ahmet Davutoğlu has said "We had said 'PYD (Democratic Union Party) will not cross into west of Euphrates. We hit them as soon as they do', and hit them twice".
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş said "Seeing PYD as threat instead of DAİŞ is shame on his part" in response to those words.
People's Protection Units (YPG) had announced that Tel Abyad of Kobane was hit by Turkish military.
Demirtaş: No threat to Turkey from PYD
Selahattin Demirtaş answered questions of journalists at funeral of HAK-PAR Chair Fehmi Demir who lost his life in road accident.
"We are face to face with death and war every day, this is a painful reality, yet government, as it is not satisfied with that, wants to turn things into a state in which a war can be declared against Rojava region. While PYD implies no threat to Turkey, and Syrian Kurds thrust out hand of fraternity, Davutoğlu seeing PYD as a threat instead of DAİŞ is a shame on his part."
YPG: Turkish army hit our fronts
YPG Press Center in its statement yesterday evening told that the operations launched by Turkish army on October 24 continue through October 25 and October 26.
Erdoğan had threatened
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in his speech at the Memur-Sen Confederation's program named "20 Years on the Course of Fidelity to People" held in Ankara Arena Sports Hall on October 25, 2015 said, "They look after their own interests and to achieve that, they can collaborate with PKK, or DAEŞ if necessary. Isn't it what they do in Tel Ebyad? DAEŞ enters Tel Ebyad, then DAEŞ leaves it and this time PYD comes in. This is all a collective game. This now poses a threat to Turkey, thus Turkey will do what is necessary, may everyone know that." (NV/TK)
