Curfew in 23 Villages in Diyarbakır

Curfew was declared in 23 villages and their hamlets in Lice, Hazro and Kocaköy districts of the southeastern province Diyarbakır as of 06.00 a.m. today (January 14) on the ground of military operations.

The end time of the curfew has not been stated.

According to the announcement of the Governorship of Diyarbakır Provincial Gendarmerie Command, curfew has been declared in the following places:

The villages of Serince, Kayacık, Uçarı, Ziyaret, Esenler, Ortaç, Yalaza, Çavundur, Dolunay, Bağlan, Kabakaya, Kutlu and Oyuklu and their hamlets in Lice district,

Boyunlu village and its hamlets in Kocaköy district,

Gözebaşı, Sarıerik, Meşebağları, Kavaklıboğaz, Kırmataş, Terdöken, Çitlibahçe, Dadaş and Ormankaya villages and their hamlets in Hazro.

Most curfews in Diyarbakır

According to the data announced by Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (TİHV) on January 3, 2019, Diyarbakır is the province, where curfew in its current form was declared for the most times.

204 curfews have been declared in Diyarbakır since August 16, 2015.
