Curfew has been declared in 18 villages and neighbourhoods in Silvan district of Turkey’s southeastern province of Diyarbakır as of 11 a.m. this morning.
Silvan District Governorship has made the announcement on its official website:
“In order to catch members of the Separatist Terrorist Organization, provide peace and security, public order and the impunity of the individuals, Silvan District Governorship has declared curfew in accordance with the article 32/Ç of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442 as of 25.03.2016, 11 a.m. in Silvan district’s Boğazönü, Demirkuyu, Özlüce, Dönenkaya, Taraklı, Esenyol, Duruseven, Gürpınar, Arıköy, Taşpınar, Çiğdemli, Toklar, Kayadere, Kazandağı, Kalemli, Arataş, Başdeğirmen and Pınar villages and neighbourhoods until further notice”.
The district had been under curfew for 27 days in total till the last curfew.
