Curfew was declared in 14 villages in Lice, Kocaköy and Hazro districts of Diyarbakır in southeastern Turkey as of 6 a.m. this morning (April 13).
According to the announcement on the official website of Diyarbakır Governorship, curfew was declared in the following villages:
* Uçarı, Ziyaret, Esenler, Kayacık, Ortaç, Yalaza, Bağlan, Çavundur and Dolunay villages in Lİce district,
* Boyunlu and Gözebaşı villages in Kocaköy district,
* Sarıerik, Meşebağları and Çitlibahçe villages in Hazro district.
The governorship has announced the curfew was declared in order to ensure security of citizens and their property during the operation which was to be carried out in the region against members of the Separatist Terrorist Organization (BTÖ).
It has not been announced when the curfew would be lifted. (AS/DG)
